coache 0 Posted August 28, 2009 Hi Just installed AVTech 760 DVR and am viewing/ recording from the hard drive over network using Software AP .vse player. I can get the image no problem but there is no audio over the network. The audio and video is fine using a monitor, but I can't record audio at all. Is there a known issue with this or a fix? Please help!
joegrab 0 Posted August 30, 2009 I have a recorded incident that includes important audio. Audio playback is fine at the DVR you can hear the incident through the attached speaker. But I can not figure out how to backup the recorded audio. I've tried backup to USB, Backup to CD and Backup to my laptop over the network. Help!!!
scorpion 0 Posted August 30, 2009 I do not use this DVR for audio over the internet, and I do not have any answers. For audio over the internet you will have to activate the icon. I cannot remember. The icon I believe has to be colored blue for the audio to work over the internet. If there is a power loss then you will have to manually set up the audio again to work over the internet. You can hear audio live, but I do not know whether it works on past history, or not. For audio you are better off connecting directly to the DVR, and pulling video, and audio for your needs. This works for past history also. http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=17879
joegrab 0 Posted August 30, 2009 ok, I went back to the site and burner a CD - no audio. It's a AV 787, I can listen to the audio in playback using a speaker. But I can't seem to get the audio on USB, CD, Network. The camera is on channel 1 and the audio is on inout 1, again in playback everything is fine video/audio are perfect. How can I get the audio, the police want a copy. I was thinking about connecting the audio output to my laptop. btw Audio 1 (P) is slected during playback. joegrab 0 Posted August 30, 2009 I finally got the audio to work - I selected all channels and created a CD. I found the audio from audio input 1 on channel 5. How can I merge the backup from channel 1 and channel 5?
scorpion 0 Posted August 31, 2009 Is the audio source on audio input 2 of the DVR?
joegrab 0 Posted August 31, 2009 The Audio source is on Audio 1 but it plays back on Channel 5. Audio 2 plays on Ch6, Audio 3 on Ch7 and Audio 4 on Ch8. I moved the camera with matching Audio to Channel 5 - so we are ready for the next incident. Now I just need to figure out how to merge the Aug 28th incident where I have Video on Ch1 and Audio on Ch6
