Recommended Posts

I ran the backup and selected CD. The playback.exe off the CD worked just fine. Hmmm?

I also solved another problem - If your trying to backup with sound make sure you change the audio setting from Listen to Playback. For example; if you have a camera on channel 1 with sound recording and have a speaker connected to the DVR you probably have the audio set to AUDIO 1 (L) Listen. Change it to AUDIO 1 (P) Playback before you create your backup.

For those who have problems then download the Video Viewer for AVC 760 A (MPEG model), or Video Server E for AVC 760 (JPEG Model).

The play back software is part of the whole package.

Hi there, I've read a this forum for the last few days looking for information on my audio issue. Is it possible to have both (Listen and Playback)?

Thank You.

yes, you can listen to the audio live and during playback. The only issue I ran into was using backup. you need to make sure you have the camera on the right channel for audio to work using backup. In my case channel 5 is tied to audio 1. So when you backup channel 5 and play it back you will hear the audio.

NICE!!!! thx for the info. I have another enquiry. I've set the DVR audio to " Listen". I can hear it on my attach speaker but unable to hear it via remote (IE) or using Video server E or Video Viewer (Im using the older Avtech 16 channel & older 4 Channel CPCam).

Thank You

There is an audio Icon. It will be "greyed" out, or it will be Blue, or it will be Yellow.

You will have to activate the icon for remote audio. If the power goes out then the audio has to be set up again at the DVR for remote audio.

....is it possible to be more specific, accessing via IE on the new DVR, the speaker icon is mute (default), I just need to Enable it, i can hear the sound. But on the older DVR via remote (IE) it seem that "speaker" icon cannot be found or it just not supporting. I've try using the Video Server E & Video Viewer, i have the same issue on the older DVR.

Thank You.

It is a pain!

The problem is the two buttons have to be pressed at the same time.

I have not figured out how to press two icons on the remote aps at the same time.

Yeesh!

Look at the Slow, and Zoom Buttons on the front panel.

Below the two buttons you will see that it says " audio ".

The first press gives you live audio, and the second press of both buttons gives you play back audio.

For audio with Video playback you will need to press an icon on the playback tool set. Page 35 of your manual.

On the playback tool bar you will see a circle on the right side with stop / play / f forward / rewind.

To the left of this circle is two rows of eight buttons. In the left row, third button down is the config button, (wrench, and screw driver icon).

You will need to select this button, and you will need to see if the AV sync has a check mark in the square.
