aries1964 0 Posted September 13, 2009 Hi there, I have AVC777W. the HDD is making a noise clicking sound. I replaced HDD with a different brand and capacity and check. The DVR turns on and I can select all the button command on the front panel. my problem now is nothing on the screen. it hook up the monitor out to the tv. even a crosshatch or menu nothing just a black picture. scorpion 0 Posted September 14, 2009 This is too hard to guess by your post. It could be anything. The first test would be to switch to the other video output. Do you have a picture now, and the main monitor is not working? You may have a bad power supply. This may be the external power supply, or it could be on the main board inside. You will have to do proper tech checks to eliminate the specific problem. This DVR would not be worth putting any money in to. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
aries1964 0 Posted September 15, 2009 Thanks for the reply. I went through mainboard to check & trace the video signal. I found that video signal has pass through IC9 to a resistor 75omhs to Out monitor. input signal is available at IC9 but out nothing. check B+ ok about 5v. I suspect this IC9 faulty.
