System for my home

Recommended Posts

I recently had an LTS LTD411M6 DVR and a LTS LTCMD665 camera with it but I decided to return both because the DVR was unreliable, it kept freezing up, and the camera picture at night was very snowy, I guess not enough IR power. No one could be identified at night. The camera was mounted on the second story under an overhang, about 20-25 feet from the ground. It was covering my whole front yard. I'm looking for a dvr with better quality resolution and a camera that can caught the front yard and not have a snowy picture. I have very little knowledge of CCTV systems but I want a affordable system with a good resolution night vision camera and a reliable DVR. maybe a H.264 one? Any suggestions appreciated. The DVR does not have to have a built in HDD as I have a 500GB one from the other DVR

For selecting DVR, you need to take these features into account:

1. operation system: Linux will be fine

2. video compression format: H.264

3. Record /display resolution: 30fps

4. record mode....

SKU: ZMD-H9004UV-NHD is a 4 Channel H.264 Real Time CCTV Security DVR support SATA HD up to 1TB. Its display and record resolution is 120fps. The basic features are quite good and with quite reasonble price.
