leffe104 0 Posted September 14, 2009 i have a dvrdvs 7016 and a have a problem : i was trying to update the firmware of dvs because i couldnt see my dvs via windows cellphone(htc) . i made the connection with my pc via rs232 cable. i erased the flash of dvs, the i pressed the "u" key i put the ip of dvs (192.0.0.64) and the ip of pc (192.0.0.66) with the same subnet mask (255.255.255.0) and nothing , i have connection and the paremeters of com port is everything right but i take message something about kernel . please help because the dvr now is formated. (i have the firmware: digicap.dat) i have ftp software . HELP!!! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
shoreviewsecurity 0 Posted September 14, 2009 I am not to sure what you mean by the DVR is now formatted?? I am familiar with your model DVR although have never attempted connecting by phone. You should be able to flash the DVR again with the same firmware. If I understand you, you may have to do this at the DVR proper and not over your network. Do you have a monitor connected to the DVR? DVR IP 192.168.1.150 Gateway 192.168.1.1 Subnet 255.255.255.0 Port 8000 Http Port 80 I tried to attach a snap shot of the network config but I have reached my maximum upload quota.
