tnoel1965 0 Posted September 17, 2009 I have 3 cameras, they all work individually with my DVR and monitor. 1 of the cameras I want to mount outside to cover the parking area, about 100 ft from power supply. I have different cameras, a Pelco cc3701h-2, Panasonic WV-BP124, and a Panasonic WV-CP224. I am using siamese RG-59 cable, running along the top half of a concrete building, sitting on conduit with electrical wiring inside. I have used conduit where the cable is outside of the building up to the camera itself. My power supply is a Altronix ALTV244300. Each of these cameras work inside, individually, none will work outside either with inside camera connected or stand alone. Any help is needed and will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!! They all work off this power supply inside but once you connect them to your Siamese outside, they do not work?? Have you measured the voltage directly out of the supply insuring it is 24VAC and comparing it to the measurement at the cam ( with the cam connected )? 100' distance should not be an issue at all. I don't know if it matters, but I haven't even attempted to install the third camera because of the 1 not working. The power supply and the camera are both 24 VAC. Low voltage will drop over a distance (e.g. 24VAC at supply, 22VAC at a distant camera), particularly if the wire is not sufficient gauge. What gauge wire are you using?
