Need cmpst vid BNC 4ch distro or quad split w/loopthroughs

Recommended Posts

Hi. I am upgrading to a new DVR, however the new unit has no loop through inputs, and the 4 cameras need to show up on a 4:3 color CRT monitor.

Currently the cam inputs loop through the old DVR and on to a quad splitter. Since the new DVR has no loop throughs, I either need a 4 ch cmpst vid BNC distro with 2 outputs per channel, or I need a quad splitter with loop through inputs.

Seems that I'm having a hard time locating these now.

Anyone got any sources for these products?

Or alternate solutions?

Any info is appreciated.

Thanks

Jeff

The AVTech AVC 760 (old style), and the AVC 760A (New Sata Version) have BNC loop outs.

It also has quad video out for your Dist Amplifier, or you can use the SPOT out (one camera at a time in sequence).

Something like this would do the trick, and cheaply:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ADVANCED-TECHNOLIGIES-CQ4-VIDEO-MULTIPLEXER_W0QQitemZ230377759478QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item35a395a2f6&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

I have a half-dozen or so four, nine and sixteen-channel multiplexers sitting on a shelf, from upgrading MUX/VCR systems to DVRs. Lots of other guys are getting growing collections of them as well. Find the right source, and you should be able to get one cheap. Some will still want good coin for them because they ARE still pricey to replace, but some might just want to clear some of them out because their "Supply and demand" market value has dropped so much.

thanks for replies, especially re: cctv.net- looks like what I'm looking for.. a simple 4in, 8out (2 outs per channel) non-matrixing BNC connectored distro to use with an already purchased DVR that has no looping inputs.

And the suggestion that if i can unterminate the 75ohms at the existing quad box or DVR, I can tee off to the other component.

In the meantime I realized I have a quad box removed from a previous job, which does have looped inputs. If the teeing off isn't available, and As long as the client is cool with a used device, I'll use the looped input box.

Thanks again

Jeff
