rory 0 Posted March 19, 2005 http://www.luxriot.com/ Just downloaded their trial software. I just got this to work with a PCI DVR Card here, so it is showing their Demo IP cams as well as the 1 camera I have on one of the DVR card's port, in any multi view you want. Plus im running a WinXP PRo AMD System Rory
Sentry360 0 Posted March 21, 2005 I've seen them somewhere... Hmm... I think when I was looking for decent IP Software. They claim that any DirectShow compatible DVR card will work with their software... What kind of DVR card do you use, Rory?

What kind of DVR card do you use, Rory? any bt878 card .. i have another card to hook up here, ill test that with it too. As far as I can tell, it will work with any capture card. You can install generic drivers to get any card to work, for capture, actually you can write your own software like that, but time consuming, Anyway, then in their software you just select the driver for each camera you want to add. So with a 4 channel DVR card it will have 4 entries to choose from once you have installed the generic drivers. Bt878 works for most cards. The trial is limited to one active camera though. vitaly 0 Posted March 31, 2005 Besides DirectShow compatible boards, LuxRiot software also works with 16 channels ComArt HiCap and XeCap series frame grabber boards. However, I would suggest to go with XeCaps. I had some unpleasant experience with HiCap. As for 4 and 8 channels I would recommend to use ProVideo PV-149P boards. And, of course, list of supported Network cameras is pretty long, and includes all well known brands. Vitaly http://cctv.net
rory 0 Posted March 31, 2005 Cool, I just got an email from them with pricing etc. Yeah, also id been talking with Comart and they said they recommend the Xecap also .. as they will be discontinuing the HiCap in the future. Im looking at them primarily for creating my own DVR software. But Lux Riot is great for IP and analog etc, must have taken them alot of time and money to get that doing what it does ..working with so many products. Hey site looking good Vitaly, using the 404 for the HTM or are they physically static? Your own cart or purchased? Nice design though, smooth and professional. I have to look at some IP cameras and software now, and where to get them from.. what do you recommend for plug and play cheap servers, like to use with any cameras / existing systems. This would be for Video Monitoring. Rory

Thank you Rory. Currently we are using http://volusion.com , but we are looking into switching to http://netsuite.com As for modestly priced servers I would recommend Pixord. They have single, 2 and 4 cameras models. Keep in mind that 4 channel model delivers no more than 5fps per channel. Here is the complete list of network servers we carry: http://www.cctv.net/category_s/80.htm If you are interested to see the prices, than click "Become a Dealer" button on front page and fill up your information. I will make sure that you will be approved as quick as possible, because approval is a manual process, since we want to make sure we are not dealing with the end-users in order to protect fair relationship between our dealers and their customers.
