alpine0000 0 Posted October 1, 2009 So I am going to install the new Panasonic SD5 cameras on the exterior of my house, but for the purpose of some of the cameras inside of the house, I am not going to need to spend that kind of money on each camera. I was looking at some other domes, and the Vitek Mighty Domes seem to be a fairly decent camera, all considering. Particulary, these: http://www.vitekcctv.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=371 And in my dark basement, I was looking at possibly this IR mini dome: http://www.vitekcctv.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=421 Now, I am aware that it is always better to seperate the IR from the camera, because there can be reflection in the dome when the IR is mounted inside of it, but it looks like there is a gasket around the lens to eliminate that. Although, I'm not sure if it works or not, because I have no experience with the camera. Ideally, I'd just get the Panasonic domes and a seperate IR illuminator for each application, but I just cant spend that kind of money for all 8 cameras. Haha. So for some of the less critical cameras I'd figure these might be a good option? Can anybody give me any opinions on the Mighty Domes who has used them? Thank You!
