kahodges 0 Posted October 1, 2009 We have a 16 channel DVR set up with two Eclipse PTZ cameras, and 8 other infrared bullet cameras. The two PTZ cameras freeze multiple times a day during their automated tours. We have to go into the software controller on the DVR and hit auto pan to get it going again, and it takes a couple of minutes before it resumes the tour. Anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Thanks.
tomcctv 190 Posted October 2, 2009 Hi. Kahodges. what make is your dvr. ???? and can it be viewed over the internet ?? the reason why i ask about remote viewing is some systems when viewed over the internet and someone moves the ptz and not hit the auto tour button before they log off then the ptz will stay in the last moved to place. kahodges 0 Posted October 5, 2009 It's an off brand. It's a Linux box running Eclipse DVR software. Rarely does anyone take it off tour and use the PTZ control. There is only two people with remote access to the DVR server. When it is taken off tour, we always hit the auto-pan button to resume the tour. The area being scanned is quite large, and we need it to continously tour to pick up the entire area. Thanks.
