emotions 0 Posted October 14, 2009 hi everyone, i need a help. we are a small company, working in image processing for last 1 and 1/2 year. we developed a system that will read the number plate. as all of you know that its not a big thing now, so many company have this kind of software. but our client have some other requirement. they need a image where number should be seen clearly as well as the red light. one more issue is they need a single image for a 42 ft wide road. because of that we have to take a wide angle image and in such a wide angle image its really hard to find the number plate. one more challenges is that it need to take speeding vehicle image. now, we need a camera which can meet our requirement. we are using honey well box camera and IGUANA 2050 for this project. please suggest me which type off camera will be suitable for our project. Soundy 1 Posted October 14, 2009 You'll probably want to go with a megapixel camera of some form, 3MP or better to get the most detail possible. There are camera manufacturers that specialize in license plate capture and recognition, others here with more experience in that area should be able to point you to some websites.
