I connect to the DVR by using Video viewer software: i cannot see any control for PTZ on this software Somebody can tell me how to control PTZ with Video viewer ? scorpion 0 Posted October 18, 2009 What version of Video Viewer do you have? You are correct that Video Viewer has no PTZ control. You can go in to an IE Browser, and put your IP address and port number. You can click on the PTZ icon, and hit one of your presets, and then you can press your directional buttons. Video Viewer 0.1.0.3 released on Oct 14 2009 has a Full Screen that has several of the video viewer screens on a palette. On this palette there is a PTZ icon. I tried it remotely, and I could not get it to work. If I was local to the DVR, and I pressed the two buttons on the front panel, then I believe the Icon on the Video Viewer would become active, and then you could use the PTZ controls. scorpion 0 Posted October 18, 2009 The AVC 760 is an IDE based hard drive "system". When they switched to a Sata based hard drive "system" They came out with Video Viewer. They made Video Viewer backwards compatiple with the IDE version DVRs. The Video Server E cannot link up to a Sata Version AVC 760A DVR, and other Video Viewer based DVR models. There are a lot of changes going on. AVTech is switching all of new DVRs to H.264 compression with H.264 web server. They had to issue a SATA version DVR models because of the cost issues. They were not ready to release a network AP. Video Viewer was released as a transition AP. It can be used on the newer H.264 DVRs, and the MPEG4 DVRs. They worked out the engineering as they went, and released updates as fast as they could. They are still working on some issues with the H.264. Once they are ready to roll 100 H.264 then I would imagine they will release a network AP at that time that will be a complete product. I truely do not know what happened, but it sure is tough trying to keep up with a product that has changes every 6 months I guess. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
