eyecu 0 Posted March 27, 2005 I have no problem hooking up cameras to DVR's and timelapse, but what am I doing wrong trying to hook up a plain old VCR to a camera, why can I not make it work.
rory 0 Posted March 27, 2005 It should work, once you are plugging the camera into the RCA input. Rory
eyecu 0 Posted March 27, 2005 Thats what I figured, but nope.I tried four different VCRs.Do they have to be set to a certin channel?

rory 0 Posted March 27, 2005 gawd its been like 6 years since i last used a VCR, but if you are using the RCA in, then using the RCA out would just work. If you are using RCA in, then TV out to the TV, then it would need to be set on channel 3 or 4 selectable on the VCR ..
AVCONSULTING 0 Posted March 27, 2005 You have to tell the VCR to look at the video input, not the tuner. Usually this is either on the remote or is in the menu setup. Should work no problem with a standard video camera being fed into the video RCA jack input.
cctv_down_under 0 Posted March 27, 2005 things to check: 1/ Is it plugged to Video in, not video out? 2/ Have you switched the remote toggle, TV/Vid/AV 3/ Have you tried it on the telly first?
eyecu 0 Posted March 28, 2005 Not sure what I did, but it is working now. I thank all of you for helping out with my embarasing question. Like rory I have not used a regular VCR in ages. I know it should not have been that diffacult. maybe it was just to simple.
