skipvb 0 Posted November 1, 2009 Hi there I recently brought a AV 760 DVR and I see that it has no usb backup option so I am having trouble backing up the videos from the DVR hard drive to the computer. I have connected to it via a local network with the supplied AP software I can get into the backup menu which has an event search but when I click backup I get an error message "Channel cannot be left empty" when I click on the channel scroll bar it is blank not allowing me to select channel 1 so I cannot back any data up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks skipvb
scorpion 0 Posted November 2, 2009 I am wondering if you have an AVC760A with the SATA drive rather than an AVC760 that has an IDE. If you have an SATA version then what video Viewer version are you using? Did this come with the disk with the DVR?
skipvb 0 Posted November 2, 2009 Thanks for your reply I am not sure which DVR version it is SATA or IDE (Is there an easy way to find out)? I lost the AP software disk so I downloaded it from the web I have tried two versions of video viewer 01.1.3 and 01.3.0. Not sure if this helps.
scorpion 0 Posted November 2, 2009 I am not sure why you are having this problem. I am thinking that you do not have the cameras activated therefore there is not numbers available. __________________________________________________________ For others reading this post check these options: Download the manual here: http://scorpiontheater.com/nubix4st.aspx Click on AVC760AS Press menu 0000 (Enter button 4 times) Press RECORD (page 19) MANUAL RECORD ENABLE should be on. EVENT RECORD ENABLE should be on. Press the MENU button to back up to the menu page. Select ADVANCE option Select Camera option (page 21). In the far right column is the REC (record) column. Your cameras should be on. Press MENU to back up to the menu page. Press DETECTION option (page 22). In the second column it the DET (detection) column, and this needs to be ON> Move to the right one column to the AREA column, and then press enter, and setup up motion (Pink is block, and clear is detection). Page 24 is the ALERT page. Scroll down to MOTION BUZZER, and turn this off. This should make this work. What do you think?

scorpion 0 Posted November 2, 2009 or just playback the video you want and hit snapshot or record. Yes! Great idea! This cannot be down through the browser, but it can be done using the supplied remote software.
