StoreSafe Pro II over router

Recommended Posts

I've set Static IP (external) and router as wanted to connect 3 DVRs.

I set first to be accesed on the port 8081 (8082, and so on)

I did port redirection, but Wave Browser is working OK, but only on local subnet.

Is there anything I need to forward (i.e. 1024 - anyway tried still not working) to make Wave Browser working from external?

It asking me for a username and password but don't load anything.

I'm new to the DVR, but good in the network, so not sure where is the problem.

StoreSafe Pro II, software version is 6.29.

Thanks for your advices,

espin

Check out www.CanYouSeeMe.org

It's a great tool to determine if your ISP is blocking certain ports, and they often do.

It's also a great tool for double checking your port forwarding and redirecting handy work while on site instead of having to wait until your off site.

Hope this helps...

Check under the status section of the router to confirm that you do not have a double-NAT routing situation.

For example, check the WAN or Internet IP Address to see if it begins with 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x, if it does then you will either need to bridge the modem which you have connected to it or will need to DMZ or Port Forward (NAT) your modem.

Also, check if you need to port forward any additional ports on each DVR (e.g. an RTSP or data port).

What sort of router and/or modem are you using?

It’s working.

All settings been correct.

it just WaveBrowser needs be pointed to /wrcontrollite.ssi at the end, so it should be looks like:

DVR 1 h**p://Host:8081/wrcontrollite.ssi

DVR 2 h**p://Host:8082/wrcontrollite.ssi

Port 1024 is used by default by WaveReader software, so I set

DVR1 port 1025

DVR2 port 1024

in WaveReader folder edit bwval.dat and put:

REMOTE_PORT = 1025

so it will use port 1025 against 1024.

I believe this will help others,
