spooky 0 Posted November 3, 2009 hello again is there anyone useing this forum re my last question {lol} i have a dvr and its playing up i think its the hard drive a car passes our house and sometimes on play back it skips a cam {jerky movement} the cam settings are all set as should be,now i want to test if it is the hard drive now can anyone tell me if this is the same as a computer hdrive ?or do i need adiffrent drive? and if i do can anyone suggest were i get them from thank you Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Neutech 0 Posted November 4, 2009 yes you can use a computer hard drive but dont expect it to last Seagate SV35 are designed for the job of 24/7 use hence the 5 year warrenty what make of DVR? as some have the drives coded as for the jerky motion detect, fit a proper external PIR or beams an connect to relay on back of DVR for proper motion detect, whats it like on continues record mode?
