ademco 0 Posted November 10, 2009 what the best solution of DVR because it always hang-up and it can't connect locally and remotely..
scorpion 0 Posted November 10, 2009 Are you refering to an AVC 760? Do you have the AVC760 (IDE HHD), or do you have the AVC760A (SATA HDD)? I have never heard of this model DVR having this kind of a problem. Did you buy it brand new? I would take it back to your distributor for warranty. Did you buy it used? Have you tried a hardware reset? http://scorpiontheater.com/Documents/Hardware_Reset_AVC760_761_CPD560.pdf Does it hang remotely? Are you using the browser, or the remote software. Would the hanging up be more based on the computer you are using, and if you go to another computer would it work fast, and be reliable. Is your DVR old? Could it be the hard disk drive is getting to the end of it's life cycle? Perhaps you have an external power supply that is giving your hard drive a fit? DVR networking: http://scorpiontheater.com/videonetworkingwithavtech.aspx I cannot believe that the DVR will not connect remotely, or locally. Something is not right. You will have to give us more details as to what you are doing, and how you have it set up. Worse case is to change out the chip that controls the internet connection.
