1337LP 0 Posted November 10, 2009 We use the DMR8CD-4 model DVRs obtained from SuperCircuits. The software that we use for these DVRs is the IRS Dual Codec software, v1.0.0.8 that is supplied on the product page at the SuperCircuits site. My question is: Is there any better software out there compatible with these DVRs? The current software we run is very buggy and hard to work with.
Slim3001 0 Posted November 10, 2009 Think it just down to the compression to say what will work. I got loads I have downloaded Thers one called Video Viewer that is ok but I like the look of PSS V4.0 PRO Surveillance system
scorpion 0 Posted November 10, 2009 I believe you can only use the proprietary software that comes with that DVR, and not others. How does it look through the browser?
1337LP 0 Posted November 10, 2009 The image that I receive is well enough. The main gripe I have is that I get a lot of lag time between inputting a command into the remote software, and having the command take effect on the DVR's end. I know the problem could be remedied to a point if we had faster connection speeds (we average 128k up from our stores - DSL), but hell will freeze over before funding goes toward that. I was just wondering if there was some sort of remote software out there that would be compatible with our DVRs, and could possibly split the channels somehow for a faster, more efficient connection. I know I am probably asking for a miracle, but it never hurts to try.
