Vivotek Camera Problems

I have a setup of 8 vivotek ip cameras, Sorry i dont have the details on model numbers with me.

 

They record direct to a computer running XP and the free software.

 

Im looking to purchase a DVR as i dont like the free software and feel that this would be a better option.

 

The problem i have is with the cameras, they need to be rebooted every 2 weeks or so.

 

I have had the cabling checked and this is all ok, but every so often the image on one or two of the cameras will look misty or grey or sometimes flashing.

 

I had a switch with POE and changed this over so the cameras are all powered seperatly and the problem is still there.

 

Can the cameras be set to reboot once a week.

 

Or has anyone had this problem and managed to fixed it.

since it is only 1 or 2 of the cameras maybe the cameras are defective?
