34Ford 0 Posted November 13, 2009 I noticed some of the leds are burned out. Whats my best option to replace them? I dont have any problem soldering.
Slim3001 0 Posted November 15, 2009 If you can not RMA it then If you going to be soldering I would take them all of and fit 940nm LED'S
rory 0 Posted November 15, 2009 (edited) While you are at it might as well change the camera board for a newer and better one Edited November 17, 2009 by Guest
34Ford 0 Posted November 17, 2009 RMA is probably out since I bought these back in '05 So I should look for some 940nm and just do all of them? Could that be to high for these cameras? I can probably look on the owners paper and see what these cameras have in them. EDIT: I just found it has IR LED Wavelength - 850nm in them.
hardwired 0 Posted November 17, 2009 940nm are totally covert, you will not see any glow, but your camera will not see them quite as well, reducing IR range somewhat. Here's a 20 degree angle, T1 3/4 size,880nm emitter, you could poke around here for others.. http://mouser.com/ProductDetail/OSRAM-Opto-Semiconductors/SFH-485-2/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMvAL21a%2fDhxMvFeLV%252bDp%252bu%252bbHp5L36ePRA%3d
