zuiko 0 Posted November 14, 2009 I have one of these: Ultrak KZ1628AEHW 20A 16 camera power supply. I got it without noticing it was 28VAC, not 24VAC. Can I run 24VAC cameras on this or will the overvoltage kill them? I have never seen a 28VAC camera.
cglaeser 0 Posted November 15, 2009 I got it without noticing it was 28VAC, Is there a tap for 24VAC? I have Altronix 24VAC power supply that can be configured for either 24VAC or 28VAC by switching the taps from the transformer. Best, Christopher
survtech 0 Posted November 15, 2009 It will probably do fine. Most 24VAC power supplies actually put out between 28VAC and 29VAC with no load.
Tailbone215 0 Posted November 15, 2009 It will probably do fine. Most 24VAC power supplies actually put out between 28VAC and 29VAC with no load. Agreed! But, as usual, always check the camera's manufacturer's specs to confirm voltage range.
zuiko 0 Posted November 15, 2009 Any ideas where I might be able to find the specifications or a manual for Ultrak KC552BCN cameras? Honeywell apparently bought them a few years back and decided to take down their site without actually putting any of that information anywhere.
