All ports are blocked

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

I have this problem that im trying to solve it for more than 10 days!!

I have a standalone DVR "SAV-DG4104" and imp trying to be able to access it over internet with no luck so far. It uses port 6802 and 80, I tried many brands of routers "Dlink,linksys,netgear,netcore,2wire" with no luck to open any ports!! Tried more than 30 ports ,,,, nothing.. ...

I’m using PFPort Checker Tool and always the same result “port NOT Open".

Any Help Guys Please..............Thanks.

One thing you'll want to remember is that it is very different for a port to be open vs. forwarded.

Open tends to correspond to a firewall or some other type of device or software to stop requests on a given port.

Forwarding refers to telling the router what to do with the request. A port can be open but not forwarded to the DVR.

You'll want to make sure you "forward" the correct ports.

And, some ISPs don't allow port 80 requests. Sometimes you have to go to 81. Change to port 81 in your DVR software, port forwarding, and you'll have to use :81 on the end of the IP address request you make.

I think this problem has no relationship with the Router Brands.

First, please have a carful check whether you setup the local network well, this should be down first before the remote network setup.

Port mapping may cause the trouble.

If you still can not figure out, please let me know!
