Advice on a new camera?

Newbie to the CCTV scene and I am only a domestic user with one camera so far. Planning to replace the old camera with the new one. I need a camera that give a recognizable image from approx 25m-30m from the camera position.

 

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

get the correct MM lens and it shouldnt be a problem

Your object distance 30 m.

 

To cover a horizontal area of 5 m and a vertical area of 3.75 m, you will need

 

* For 1/3" cameras: a focal length of 28.8 mm.

* For 1/2" cameras: a focal length of 38.4 mm.

 

 

so a 5-50mm lens will be fine
