what lens to buy

Hello all.

brand new to the forum and need some help with these minidome cameras and what type of lens they take and how to know abotu ai ir and so forth lenses?

 

Im used to the big cams we use at the hospital but nto these minidomes.

 

any help would be great. this one i have is ok but the view is just to wide so im goign to replace it , but it says its a AI lens and has ir.

What make and model are the cams you are speaking of? Mini domes are a dime a dozen and some have inter-changable lenses, some do not, some are fixed and some are varifocal. The camera may have a built in IR but for the most part this has nothing to do with the lens (but to clarify before someone chimes in........yes there are lenses made specifically for D/N cameras) but the camera may be a true D/N with a mechanical ir filter but this is not built into the lens itself.

I like fujinon lenses find them to be great quality.
