hi just purchase camera of ebay but cant find any info as to who its made by,can get camera to show on screen and goes through its ptz mode then stops trying to run from computer with dvr software , cables coming in to camera are as shown in pics cant work out how to use ptz as all the info i can find relates to rs485 or rs422 i have a rs422 serial adapator but cant find were to wire this to as all i can see on cables is r+and r- but no t+ or t- and as reguards protocol when camer shows on screen it says protocol 03/015 depending where dip switchs are positioned please help as at the minute all ive got is a rather expensive static camera sorry pic to big to send conections for wires on camera are gnd/ ac24/ r- /r+ /v- /v+ 6wire input then 8 wire input consisting of alm 1/ alm2/ alm3/ alm4 /gnd/ comm /nc /no dipswitches 1/10 then another set 1/6 dp switches on 1+2 on both sets rest are off also has jumper behind cable wire which reads jp3 123 jp:1-2 120r pins 1+2 have jumper joining them thanks john

Was the Ebay sellar a "person", or an online store? I would have thought this would be your best bet for info. As a person I would think they would have used it if you bought from them. Perhaps this is why they sold it?

 

As a store front, and then they do not know how to help you tells me they are just box pushers. They failed to put tech support in to the business plan and therefore can pass the savings on to the customer.

 

Some saving Ebay turned out to be! Rats!

This is very common to PTZ cameras. Not all is lost.

 

Do you have manuals with your PTZ?

See if the mini PTZ manual might clue you in on what you need to do!

 

There is only two wires going to your camera it appears.

 

RS 485 only needs two wires.
