OK.... Just finished the design today for my new PC DVR. My last component is the monitor. For desk space consideration I will use an LCD. I searched the forum and fould a good bit of discussion, mostly on the shortcommings of inexpensive LCD's for CCTV applications.

I culled my selections down to 3, all of which have, in addition to a normal VGA input, also have Digital Interfaces. Can someone shed some insight into the expected performance of these LCDs?

I would specifically like to understand the digital interfaces they reference and also the contrast ratio, all 3 contrasts are different and range from 500, 600 and 800:1.

Go with the samsung, I have used that particular model in other installs and looks great. But to be honest, I prefer to use a CRT monitor, better pictures.
