All I keep getting from these online sellers and dealers are, we want to know more about your company or who are you, do we know you, what are you recording with, call me, are you a cctv installer, blah blah blah. Why is it so hard to buy a camera online? I have a credit card and want this camera, can anybody help me ? Please advise. Thanks !

cglaeser 0 Posted December 13, 2009 Why is it so hard to buy a camera online? Apparently you are contacting distributors. You need to contact retailers. Best, Christopher
bpfloyd 0 Posted December 13, 2009 I just e-mailed the people that VIVOTEK said who to buy it from. Guess I will just try harder to get it cheaper than the Google search came up with. Thanks, Christopher.
cglaeser 0 Posted December 13, 2009 I just e-mailed the people that VIVOTEK said who to buy it from. When contacting a manufacturer, be sure and tell them you are a consumer and need a list of retailers. Often, they will give you a list of distributors, and if you contact distributors they will often give you a list of installers, which is the right answer for the majority of consumers, but may not be what you want. Keep in mind, if you see a price on Northern or some other distributor, don't expect to get that retail. Also, if you purchase equipment from a non-authorized dealer, be certain you understand what that means and are willing to accept the potential missing features like warranty and technical support.
