howards cowards 0 Posted December 14, 2009 I have a good handle on television technology. I'm an engineer for a public television station. But I'm way behind when it comes to cctv security. Especially DVR's. I have a family project that I have been asked to undertake. I need a DVR that is: 1. 9 cameras or more 2. Do at least 15fps on every channel. 3. close to NTSC resolution. on record 4. ease of use 5. reliable. Any suggestions or advise is welcomed. Thank you. Soundy 1 Posted December 15, 2009 Would probably help to know what your budget is. There are options ranging from $500 to $5000 that fit your criteria, just for the DVR. Cameras to go with it can range anywhere from $20 to $1000 apiece.

howards cowards 0 Posted December 15, 2009 Ive been looking at Avermedia SA6000E or SA9000E DVR's. They seem to have the adjustable frame rate I'm looking for. I know they dont have a 9 channel but that is ok. i feel I need the resolution and frame rate to catch the thief. It seems like so monay times servielance video is fuzzy and jumpy. Any other suggestions?
