zmxtech 0 Posted December 15, 2009 hello. I have been trying to fine tune a bunch of AVXXXDN cameras via the web interface -it's clunky but ok. I have huge amounts Of IR and a bunch of spotlights that are super bright. no matter the settings on all of them it they just wont capture in DN mode a good image always motion blur -with the Axis Q1755 its easy and works well. its like it will do 1/30 but not 1/50 just out of range of a good capture.... I have used DN MP lens's on all and a bunch of others to baseline them. I did notice they don't have very good BL function -the Axis Kills it. any idea's before they hit Ebay ! thewireguys 3 Posted December 15, 2009 First use the AV100 software to setup the Arecont and make sure you save settings to flash. What do you have the "low light mode" set too? Did you setup custom exposure zones?
zmxtech 0 Posted December 16, 2009 low light works well -till some one walks past it's blurry, -tried the high speed bit better but its too high ! where are these custom exp zones ? z
Kiwi 0 Posted December 18, 2009 Is the blur from the person due to long exposure or IR focus shift? Not that it applies to my 3130, but with many Areconts you can specify which parts of the image are used for determining exposure. If you have a slow connection the command line interface (using a browser) may be more convenient.

Also when your done making changes make sure you save to the firmware. I have never had a problems with the Arecont camera line. Customers love the image quality, the on camera motion detection is very good, and I don't have any motion blur when I am done setting them up. I just must be lucky or I just payed attention in class
zmxtech 0 Posted December 30, 2009 I know about the little CD, the `setup cam`s worked fine the 'video system' never worked kept bombing out. I have re-installed another version now I can see the settings ! still cant see custom exposure zones does it have back-light controls hiding anywhere?
