GV-1480 Hardware Specs and Quality

Recommended Posts

I have been using a first generation GV-800V2 (4 camera unit) Version 6 software, with two Canon VC-50I camera with average results. I only have two cameras watching my parking lot. The results of the software have been great! It does it's job well and e-mails and manages well. They are PTZ but I rarely use that.

The videos are a little grainy and not so hot at night but it does work. I am monitoring up to 100 feet away.

I purchased a GV-1480 and want to put in the same PC which is a Dell-390, 4Gb RAM, XP Pro, 2X400Gb drives, 1.86Gb processor. with the factory NVIDIA Quadro FX 3450. The PC has never faulted.

I have the 8.3.2 software for the device and awaiting it's arrival. My questions are for optimal quality as I only record motion sensing and what does one do to eliminate mozaiac and grainy texture.

I am looking for expertise in this configuration and guidance on the best settings for the new card...
