Dositmat 0 Posted December 19, 2009 Here is the situation. I have a customer with an AvTech 8 Channel DVR. We installed this system about 15 mos ago. We chose this at the time because the customer is on a Mac. So anyway fast forward to now. He had his DSL Company come out and swap a modem/Router and install a Gigaset 762. This DVR has its own Wan Static Ip address and for about a month everything worked fine. Now he is unable to see the web login page. We can get to the web log in page from our Blackberry Browsers but no where else outsite of the router. (Inside the home network any computer will pull it up) We tried to call his DSL tech support and they can see the Web Log in Page. But from friends in other homes/Office we just get a page that cannot be displayed. We can get in via Video Server from outside but not the webpage. We have tried all versions on IE, Mozilla. So basically the only browser that will connect outside is the Black Berry, and of course the Tech Support guy. We have checked everywhere for filters, etc and cannot come up with anything that makes sense to us. Also this customer has 5 static IP's to his house and we tried changing them and still come up with the same result. Any ideas of what might have happened? scorpion 0 Posted December 23, 2009 Hard to say. I would try a different port number, and play around to see if one will work better. They may have a block, or a bandwith throttle on the port that you are using?

Hey Scorpion, Thanks for the post but we have tried different ports and different static IP's that this customer has and we still have the same issue. Can the Firmware possible be upgraded? How do I find out the actuall model #
scorpion 0 Posted December 24, 2009 The model number should be on the mainboard. Watch out for warranty stickers that may void to open the chassis. A firmware upgrade will not help. More then likely you will tank the DVR, and create a door stop. As for tech support I do not know what to say. I am going to say the router is the problem. I would swap that out, but I am sure you already did that. I am sure you opened the router wide open to test for ports. If the black berry works outside on the WAN then there are no issues with you setup. It appears to be the ISP issue. I wonder if you can go back to the old equipment? I would try to clear the internet files, and see if this will allow you to reload the active X. what do you think?
