So, I figured I will need an 8 or 16 channel DVR and will need to get some day/night cameras with adjustable focal length and the most LEDs on them. Later on, I plan on adding a PTZ camera. The DVR I'm looking for should be around $1000 that will give me D1 or even 640x480 with "hopefully" 15fps at that resolution on each channel. Ofcourse, I would like to be able to view it from home, the email notification of an alarm would be great too. I've read so much on this forum and online and I'm just confused now. What would be the most common brand that I should go with? a brand that I might also be able use their cameras as well instead. a brand that has lots of online support and is widely used. thanks a bunch in advance for all those experts that contribute to this forum and help noobs like me Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
