Intellex 3.0 Restore invalid Key Error.

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone I am in need of some help.

I just did a restore on an intellex DV1600 running 3.0 Software to fix a restarting issue. The restore went fine and I am to the step of entering the Software key and serial number. I also ran the pal.reg file before entering the key information per the directions.

I enter all of the SW Key information cap sensitive and the serial#. I have tried to click both create a file and ok and I get an invalid key error each time. I know the key information is correct and I am not sure were to go from here. Any help would be great thanks.

Hi,

on the right side of the licence editor window you also have to select the appropriate features, depending on your Intellex version.

Chris, dvrtiger is correct on selection of the license editor and try that see what happens..

However, I am concerned that you are restoring the software when the problem was caused by restart of the Intellex. Most likely the restore will not work - due to the fact that restarts are normally caused by hardware or driver issues.

If the system was working fine and the system started to restart, there are few things you could or can try even after you bring the system online. First off, change the power supply and make sure that you add at least 400W size. Change the hard drive - it has been known that they cause similar problem.... remote possibility is the capture card, but then you have to take all the step above before considering to check this card.

Here is a question - was the system restarting while running Intellex software? What if you stopped running the Intellex and run just the windows only? The reason for these questions is that you could have performed hard drive copy only and retain all the Intellex setups, etc... as long as the partition holding the software was not damaged.

While working on the unit, change the cables and the fans - including the processor fan.

Let us know the outcome and good luck.

Hi!

I am not sure if you fixed your issue already or not.

But before you can go anywhere else, you will need to fix the licensing issue.

After you enter all information, read the product code closely.

something like D60030D-048

Now, the D, can be S, D, P.

here are the option you will need to chose on the right side, according to that code.

S = Smart, Export

D = Smart, Export, remote

P = Smart, Export, Remote, Data.

restarting issue may be a lot of things, amongst:

- bad fan on cpu

- database corruption on the data drives.

- windows corruption.

- bad ground coming from one of your camera.

Hope this helped
