Geovision or eSunstar

Recommended Posts

I got a DVR Card from ebay. The DVR card was made by eSunstar and PCI-e based. It 16ch. It never reaches greater then 30fps although their ebay page promises 480fps. It also never reaches full d1 resolution even with 560TVL cameras. The software is also horrible. The company's website is http://www.esunstar.cc or http://www.wave-p.com.cn. The model is the BL-1416. The Pci-express one. I have tried every configuration both from a windows OS point of view and the DVR card's software, but it keeps on crashing and has many flaws with intel or AMD system. I have tried both systems. All the newer and older versions of the DVR software. I am using a powerful dual core intel pentium D or Athlon X2 with 3gb of ram. Tired, so I filed a Paypal claim. Now, i am wondering to get a DVR Card from Geovision. A close 16ch model to the eSunstar is the Geovision GV-800. How is this card? Please let me know if you have encountered any problem with this card? Is it hardware compression? How does work with a AMD?? And finally is it better then eSunstar Bl-1416 PCI-e?? Better then BL-1416 in term of software or hardware or both?? Please let me know as soon as possible. Your professional advices/experiences means a lot to me. Thank you all in advance

480fps divided by 16 channels is 30fps per channel, why would you want above 30fps at high res? are you looking to fill storage space?
