Viewing through Window: RainX to keep image clear?

Not sure what the correct subforum is for this question, but does anyone know a way to keep a window clear so a clear video can be recorded if it's exposed to rain? Does that RainX stuff work? Which is the best product?

i use silicon spray on speed dome covers. so it should work on glass window
