konix 0 Posted January 17, 2010 More than Welcome! I'm very interested about wireless hardware like Access Points, Routers, IP Cameras but from electronic side.Sometmies I modified a firmware or add on an electronic parts for a better work everything for the end user. I've be very thankfull if You wanna help me. I need to know what kind of PHY ethernet controllers are in this IP Camera - please,see the list below. It's very important to me, but I don't have a direct access to this hardware. I trying to ask a producer but without any results. Sorry for my english;) Best regards from Poland VIVOTEK Vivotek IP7135 Vivotek IP7138 Vivotek IP7131 Vivotek IP7137 Vivotek PT7137 Vivotek IP6127 Vivotek IP7152 Vivotek IP7139 Vivotek IZ7151 Vivotek IZ7151 Vivotek IP7142 Vivotek IP7151 Vivotek PZ7151 Vivotek PZ7152 Vivotek IP7330 Vivotek IP7133 Vivotek IP7134 Vivotek IP7251 Vivotek PZ7122 Vivotek PZ7121 Vivotek IP7160 Vivotek FD7141 Vivotek IP7130 Vivotek FD7130 Vivotek IP6122 Vivotek IP7132 TRENDnet - TV-M7 TRENDnet - TV-M7110WK TRENDnet - TV-IP410W TRENDnet - TV-IP422 TRENDnet - TV-IP410 TRENDnet - TV-IP100W-N TRENDnet - TV-IP100-N TRENDnet - TV-IP201P TRENDnet - TV-IP110 TRENDnet - TV-IP110W TRENDnet - TV-IP212 TRENDnet - TV-IP212W TRENDnet - TV-IP312 TRENDnet - TV-IP312W TRENDnet - TV-IP201W TRENDnet - TV-IP301W TRENDnet - TV-IP201 TRENDnet - TV-IP301 AXIS - M3011 AXIS - Q1755 AXIS - P1311 AXIS - M1011-W AXIS - M1011 AXIS - P3301 AXIS - M1031-W AXIS - 211W AXIS - 216MFD-V AXIS - 216MFD AXIS - 210A AXIS - 295 AXIS - 225FD AXIS - 211M AXIS - 216FD AXIS - 223M AXIS - 211A AXIS - 216FD-V AXIS - 209FD-R AXIS - 221 AXIS - 212 AXIS - 210 AXIS - 207MW AXIS - 211 AXIS - 207 AXIS - 207W ACTi - ACM-8211 ACTi - ACM-4301 ACTi - CAM-6630 ACTi - ACM-3701 ACTi - ACM-5001 ACTi - CAM-6620 ACTi - ACM-3601 ACTi - ACM-3511 ACTi - CAM-6510 ACTi - ACM-4000 ACTi - ACM-1511 ACTi - ACM-4201 ACTi - ACM-3411 ACTi - TCM-5311 ACTi - ACM-1231 ACTi - ACM-5711 ACTi - ACM-5611 ACTi - ACM-8511 ACTi - ACM-7411 ACTi - ACM-3311 ACTi - ACM-1431 ACTi - ACM-4200 Bosch NWC-0900 Bosch NWC-0700 Bosch NWC-0800 Bosch NWC 0495 Bosch NWC 0455 IQeye IQ852 V5NPSS IQ855 V7NPSS IQeye 511DV IQ712 B2NPDI IQ811 V3NPSS IQ802 V1NPSS IQeye 705 IQeye 753 IQ711 B2NPDI IQeye 755 IQeye 703 IQ710 B3NPDI IQ510 B1NPDV IQ041SI-V10 IQeye 711 IQ042SI-V11 IQeye 702 IQeye 511 IQ041SI-V9 IQeye 510 Panasonic WV-NP304 BLC-HCM531 BLC-HCM515 BL-C131 BL-C160 BLC-HCM511 BL-C140 BL-C111 BL-C20 BL-C1 Arecont Vision AV8360 AV-3105DN AV-5105M AV-5105DN AV8180 AV-3105M AV1305DN AV1305M SPEEDDOME 15-cd55w-1000 15-cd53w-ip 15-cd55w-980-ip
Soundy 1 Posted January 17, 2010 Interesting... I've never even thought about what ethernet controllers were being used in these things, or how 'hackable' they might be. Pretty much all IP cameras do support firmware updates, so it should be entirely possible to hack that for added/different functionality, but I don't know to what level you might be able to alter the network interface. What sort of modifications were you thinking of performing? I'm not a coder, so I can't really help in actually doing the mods, but I'm interested in this as a concept... cglaeser 0 Posted January 17, 2010 How are unique MAC address ranges given to manufacturers? Are the ranges accessible to the public? Can this information be used to identify a manufacturer? Possibly even a chip type? Best, Christopher Edit: Found this http://standards.ieee.org/regauth/oui/oui.txt
Soundy 1 Posted January 18, 2010 That is a very cool link! Interesting that my no-name Bluetooth adapter shows up with a Logitech-assigned MAC address! Don't know if it helps with chipset manufacturer though... my motherboard's onboad NIC comes up with a range assigned to ASUSTEK, but it's a Marvell chipset. Harrar 0 Posted January 18, 2010 This disclaimer on the IEEE site might explain the differences: "Your attention is called to the fact that the firms and numbers listed may not always be obvious in product implementations, as some manufacturers subcontract component manufacture and others include registered firm OUIs in their products." Biphase 0 Posted January 18, 2010 Yeah, search the net and you find more info about MACs and how the first 3 number octects are manufacturer specific. 3 of the bosch ones you list are the megapixel and the other 2 are the Dinion series - The megapixels you may have luck, but not the dinions. Very proprietary.
