Soundy 1 Posted January 23, 2010 I don't know about their cameras, but I've used Trendnet routers and switches and found them fairly solid, for low-price, mid-low-end equipment.

king-of-wit 0 Posted March 18, 2010 I have not used Trendnet TV-IP301 before. After I went through the technical specification, it is based on MPEG4 Compression. Suggest you should look for H264 Compression IP Camera with 1 or 2 Megapixel. You can consider Pixord 606 or Pixord 600.
Sawbones 0 Posted March 19, 2010 I bought a trendnet PTZ camera one time on a lark. It came broken... there were literally loose/broken gears rattling around inside of it when it arrived. It seemed cheaply made anyway... and didn't work. That doesn't exactly engender confidence in their cameras. Their other equipment (I have used their PoE switches multiple times) are perfectly fine... haven't had a bad one yet. Can't say the same for their cameras. Twilo123 0 Posted April 2, 2010 we typically test cctv hardware for our mobile phone apps including running into some trendnet. my personal take. they are low budget however compared to other low budget cameras in the same price range they are pretty good. their newer firmware has activex, java, and javascript to accommodate different viewing platforms. their ptz controls are a little different than everyone else does it but not so far off the mark. video quality (at least in our mobile phone apps) is actually pretty good compared to some others or at least on par. fps is decent also. my issue with them is they change firmware quite heavily and between/within models on the fly. this firmware may be totally different than the next on the same model. as a result we had to create 'generic' models in our app instead of actual mapping to model names. makes it like a guessing game sometimes.
