C.O.P. 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Everything I do on the CCTV forums this morning makes a warning pop up about the Trojan.JS.Redirector.ar. From what I have read, it looks like my virus software may be reporting a false-positive... as in they need to update their definitions but, I wanted to post something just in case. Everything was fine last night. Better to be safe than sorry I guess.
Soundy 1 Posted January 25, 2010 No warnings popping up here from Avast or NoScript... what AV are you using?
C.O.P. 0 Posted January 25, 2010 I use Zone Alarm. The forums say it's a bug yet this is the only site I have the problem with so far.
kensplace 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Not getting any warnings here, but I have noticed others on the web saying google adsense was hit with the same problem, maybe its adverts being falsely detected? Is it still happening?
C.O.P. 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Seems to be fixed now. I just updated and no warnings. Sorry about the positive false!
rory 0 Posted January 25, 2010 What browser do you use? Nothing showing up on my end, Google Chrome. Also, do you have a toolbar installed? Check for any add ons, extensions, and toolbars, they could let malware in, the browser it self, typically will not, unless you actually download something, or as mentioned, run some add on that has a security hole. C.O.P. 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Thanks Rory, I run IE8 straight up (I hatezez toolbarz... it burnz us!) with Vista. It was confirmed to be a problem with the virus update and is fixed now.
rory 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Ahh .. you should try Google Chrome, no toolbars and add ons either .. But yeah its maybe 5-10 times faster then other browsers. Its especially great for netbooks and older PCs, with Windows or Linux.
