G22 0 Posted April 13, 2005 I am told by our supplier that GV800 4xBNC card cannot be upgraded to 16 channels? Is this true? If so, why do they make BNC Extension Cards for them, and why does the card have 3 additional connectors for those Extension Cards? http://www.geovision.com.tw/002/en/product-gv800.asp
qman 0 Posted April 14, 2005 That's one of the reasons of why I dropped GEO. The reason is that they make the card for all applications, 4, 8, 12, 16 channel inputs but they only let it work with whatever you paid for, so in other words, you are stuck to whatever you already got. VJD 0 Posted April 14, 2005 You could expand the system with one of the new hybrid cards when they come out. Who knows how much they will cost though....
dusan 0 Posted April 16, 2005 hi get e broken gv800-16 and pull the 16 port sp chip and swap it on your gv800-4ch dusan
antdickens 0 Posted April 17, 2005 Does that work? Could you, in theory, take the chip off a GV250-16 and put it in a gv900-4 to make it a 16 port card?
cctv_down_under 0 Posted April 20, 2005 1/ Its illegal... 2/ No!!! every chip you see on the card is 25fps and thats that so a 600-4 is 1 chip a 650 is two chips a 800 is 4 chips etc etc
