vin2install 0 Posted February 3, 2010 I was wondering if a 1.3 Megapixel is considered HD? I know 1.3 produces SXGA at 1280x1024. 720P is 1280 x 720.
Soundy 1 Posted February 4, 2010 I wouldn't confuse MP and HD at all, personally. "HDTV" defines a set of specific resolutions, frame/refresh rates and aspect ratios. "Megapixel" includes pretty much anything over 1,024,000 pixels. Technically, 720p isn't megapixel (1280 * 720 = about 0.9MP), and 1080p is barely over 2MP (1920 * 1080). megapixel man 0 Posted February 6, 2010 1.3 Megapixel (1280x1024) is not a HD format. HD formats are 720p and 1080p with an aspect ratio of 16:9. Some what agree with Soundy, dont confuse Megapixel CCTV with HDTV.
buellwinkle 0 Posted February 8, 2010 Not to add more confusion, but 720P video cameras seem to have a 1.5 MP sensor and 1080P cameras tend to have a 2 MP sensor. I use a Flip Ultra HD, $159, works for me
