Haines1 0 Posted February 14, 2010 Hi, I can get my AVTECH 760 to record motion events, but it also seems on continuous recording and so may be using up my hard disk too fast. Can I stop the background recording and just have any motion detected and recorded? Thanks, Chris
scorpion 0 Posted February 15, 2010 Yes. In the menu you should see manual record. Make it say off In the menu you should see motion record. Make it say on. Make sure you have the cameras activated, and make sure you remove the pink in the motion fields.

scorpion 0 Posted February 16, 2010 Glad to hear everything is working! Do you have a manual?
Haines1 0 Posted February 18, 2010 Yes, I have a manual but I'm using the camera out of my home country and didnt have the manual with me. Also, couldnt download the pdf there as the connection was too slow! Thanks for your help again! I still cant access the camera remotely (from another country, even after reading the manual and watching the Youtube on how to do it). This is the only frustration! scorpion 0 Posted February 18, 2010 It is a matter of verifying that you have video on a computer on the local LAN. Then it is a matter of setting up everything based on your ISP. Some telcos it appears better to get an STATIC IP from them rather than trying to set up everything with a regular modem. It may be easier with a cable based ISP. I truely do not know as it will be based on your location. I assume you checked the port forward on the router for you DVR. You may have to find a box that needs a check ( or to remove a check). It will say something like "block anonymous connectons" or some wording to that. Allow for pings also.
