ruirego 0 Posted February 16, 2010 Hello, Does anyone knows what is the ip of the cameras installed in the DVR. Te idea is to access directly to the camera, instead of accessing all the cameras trough the software. I have already did it whit analog cameras connected to axis video server, and eneo cctv cameras Rui Rego
Mnorman 0 Posted February 16, 2010 Not sure what the real question is there. Since you mention that you are trying to get the IP off a camera you must have some type of IP camera, but you also mention a DVR, so the camera(s) may be hooked to that DVR by coax. If a camera is hooked via coax cable it does not have an IP, the IP address is instead a function of the DVR/NVR operating system to stream the images out. Typically, every IP based camera has a web viewer to use if the IP address is known. If it is not known, the manufacturer website should have reset instructions to clear the flash memory and default the firmware to clear any stored settings, including the IP address. If the camera has never been addressed to be used over IP then it should just have the default address in its memory, which you would have to get from the manufacturer website. Some use the default 192.xxx.xxx address. Every manufacturer usually has a small reading program they send with the camera that scans the current VLAN for their product you may be able to download from the manufacturer website as well. Hope that helps...
