fas 0 Posted February 19, 2010 A friend of mine who owns an apartment building in California wants to install a cctv camera system in his building. He has staff that will perform the install. Does he need a permit? If so, what kind? Does he need to use any type of special cable, ie plenum, or is conduit required? I am not from California so I don't know the local laws and I don't want to tell him the wrong thing. If anyone has any knowledge on the subject I would appreciate it. Thanks. survtech 0 Posted February 22, 2010 fas, It actually depends on the local building code and how hardcore inspectors are. You should check with the local Planning and Zoning commission or building inspectors.
