teddybear 0 Posted April 17, 2005 Dear All, This may be a stupid question, pardon me since I'm new to this CCTV thing. How is the CCTV (420line) camera connected to a DVR system in term of resolution and performance compare to a webcam camera? If I just want to setup a remote monitoring through the internet, what is the pro and con of using a DVR (CCTV camera), compare to a simple webcam camera? Thanks. Thomas 0 Posted April 18, 2005 The lens on most web cams is set to have a depth of about 1 foot. They also have a resolution of 160*160 and generally poor compression. They aren't designed for survallance work.
