caso1992 0 Posted February 22, 2010 Hi. I'm looking at putting a Screen in our shop displaying our front door camera, to have awareness of the cameras. What sort of screen am I looking for?
ronbo 0 Posted February 22, 2010 in therory any screen will do, a large CRT will give best image but a flatscreen would look better and easyer to install i would of thought. you can connect a cale from the camera or dvr is you have one to the back of the screen using a BNC to phono plug, then use a scart to phono socket. would be harder to use a flatscreen monitor thats just for pc use as you may not have any connections on the back (also manufactorers dont recoment this as thay are not made for this purpose) but CCTV monitors that have BNC connections on the back can be double the price of other monitors
Birdman Adam 0 Posted February 23, 2010 Almost all smaller monitor have a connection for composite video; (you know, the yellow plug). If your cam uses BNC, just buy the appropriate connector, they are very cheap!
