squale 0 Posted February 20, 2004 I want to know what ports you need to open on your router for the Geovision 6.0 software to stream video over the web? I have a router and need to know how many ports and which ones the software uses.. and also can you change these ports? also, my ISP blocks running any servers on port 80 so I need to verify that the Geovision software DOES NOT need to use port 80 for uploading of it's live video streams... pcc_inc 0 Posted February 21, 2004 yes, geo uses port 80 for the web cam option the outher 3 ports are as follows: 4550,5550,6550 hope this is helpful
squale 0 Posted February 21, 2004 yes but can that port 80 be changed? my isp blocks port 80 so if it HAS to run on port 80, I won't be able to view it over the web..
qman 0 Posted February 21, 2004 Do you have cable internet? They block everything. If so, it's going to be a pain to get the software working, unless there's an option to change what port it uses for video.
squale 0 Posted February 21, 2004 yes, that's what I am asking, can the software be ran on different ports besides port 80?
jbarber 0 Posted February 23, 2004 You can tell the software to use a diffirent port when the web service starts
cctv_down_under 0 Posted February 23, 2004 You can configure the Geovision apps to run on any port you like, be carefull because each version of the Geo software uses different ports by default, therefore if you want to connect to two different Geo's they may use (by default) different ports, if you want a list just email me and I wills end it to you.
