Will work with optimum cable service (NY). 5. Able to change ports. Thank you

rory 0 Posted April 18, 2005 yes there are a couple, but not at retail pricing. ... take a look at the active-tek.com DVRs, not sure if they let you change the ports though ... probably. Powertelecomm may have one that does that in May, will know more then. Changing ports features going to be a toughy in the cheap DVRs ($600-800 4 channel range), though GE DVRs now let you change the HTTP port ...dont know how that works but the feature is there ..but they are pricey. Thomas 0 Posted April 18, 2005 Changing the ports is easy. Look for a router that allows setting of private and public port ranges.
DataAve 0 Posted April 19, 2005 Wait another month. Argus is coming out with a good low end DVR.

VJD 0 Posted April 21, 2005 Changing the ports is easy. Look for a router that allows setting of private and public port ranges. It's hard to tell from the data sheets which routers offer this feature. Any mainstream routers come to mind that you know of?
