Need software CD for Argus

Fellow techies,

 

I recently became the proud(?) owner of an Argus DVR-4 recorder. Unfortunately, as it was bought on the surplus market, it did not come with its system software CD.

 

Is this CD an obtainable or downloadable item? Perhaps someone else who has the same recorder would be willing to copy it for me?

 

Or should I simply scrap the thing for the hard drive?

I have argus software for a very old version of a model DVR. Look here and see if your DVR looks like this:

Unfortunately, no match. In fact, there was no manufacturer's label on it at all, only a serial number.

 

Heck... the only way I knew Argus had touched it was through dumping the contents of the EEPROM on a device programmer, and looking through the hex code for a manufacturer name!
