Voipmodo 0 Posted March 8, 2010 With the MX Control Center software only available for PC users, there has been a hole left for Mac users wanting to use this great software resource. We have just put together a special container using WINE that allows the Control Center software to work in OSX. We have tested basic features such as connecting to an IP camera and importing recorded files. So far the only feature that is a little buggy that we have found is the site layouts. Performance overall is pretty good. MOBOTIX should be releasing a MAC native application later this year, so this should be a good stopgap until then for those looking to get experience using the software and for those looking test out the features. As this is not an official supported use of the software, we can not 100% recommend using it in a production environment. If you are familiar, you can create a container using WINE and the MOBOTIX downloadable package or if you email us or reply on the link below we can send you a prepackaged container for free. http://www.voipmodo.com/contacts/ or email us via forum

griffonsystems 0 Posted March 19, 2010 just run parallels and xp pro on mac and you're set well thats what i have running on my macbook pro -- I can wait on a mac release if that will aid in the 3.0 release coming quicker
Voipmodo 0 Posted March 19, 2010 I thought of doing the same thing, but parallels puts alot of load on a system and requires an install of xp to run, a container runs with less cpu load and its what a lot of video game vendors are using to port PC games to the Mac. just run parallels and xp pro on mac and you're set well thats what i have running on my macbook pro -- I can wait on a mac release if that will aid in the 3.0 release coming quicker
