I f you have a dvr that records say full d1 (704 x 480) and you have a 550 tvl line camera at (768 x 494) are you really seeing the benefits of a high def camera? mrreddog 0 Posted March 10, 2010 thats something ive always wondered too, very good info..but then why is there 580 and above cameras? most dvrs have a max resolution of 4 cif or d-1,so the 580 and 600 tvl are not any better than a 540? or maybe i have it all wrong Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
